There may be a problem with the camera communications settings or the camer is not ready" "Press OK to select communications settings to reconnect". I have also select the pirctures to download using the "Transfer Order" option on the camera. The cable seems to be connect to both my PC and camera correctly.
Here are a few extra things to check:. Sometimes there are a few conflicts.. You cannot use another USB device while you are using your cam There are conflicts for some unknown reason. Hopefully the PC should detect the device then, then click on Zoombrowser in the options window. I don't bother with the transfer mode on the camera. Basically I connect the camera , load Zoombrowser and then click on the "Canon Camera" icon to connect.
This should open another window with the images inside. Highlight the images you want downloading left click, use shift-key to select a block of pics, Control to select specific pics and then click on download button.
