Hi Leo, I live on a boat and have to deal with slow internet speeds as a fact of life. Complicating the matter is that there is not one video player, but dozens, for dozens of different sites and or browsers. Looks like I missed this post when I posted my very similar question below. Something has changed in most sites that stream video and audio programming content. YouTube is only the most obvious one.

I updated windows 10 recently and it caused delays in streaming video. I was using firefox. Microsoft edge would not work at all. I installed the latest firefox and now it works fine. This fixed my forever to load, if it even loads problem with geforce experience. These updates will not be delivered to vista sp2 machines via windows update so standalone.

I think Apple has with varying success been making that pitch for several years. There's no privacy on Apple with a closed source ecosystem and all the iCloud connectivity syncing your every move.
